A Minute Or Sew Ministries is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping enrich the lives of those in need through acts of service. Our Mission is rooted in Philippians 2:4, " look out for each other’s interests and not just for your own."
We are a service-based ministry, meaning we find tangible ways to serve our community. Our hearts are for helping others feel seen, loved, and cared for through one of our many initiatives. We love that you are interested in learning more about what we do and hope that you will take the time to check out the various different ways in which this ministry works to bring the love of God to His people.
Our #SewLoved Collection can be found in our online store. Through these efforts, we create handmade fine children's clothing. With each purchase, we provide the same handmade fine clothing to a child in need. We are currently sending our clothes to children internationally and locally (US). Please check out our online store and shop knowing that your purchase impacts another child.
We also partner with various organizations to teach basic sewing skills and create clothing. Through our sewing workshops, participants have the opportunity to create their very own clothing! It's great for young adult programs. Please contact us if your organization would like to have a workshop for its participants.
God a Minute? provides applicable insight into the Word of God. We go book by book and break down the chapters, verses and stories in the Bible in a way that hopefully makes them more relatable to everyone reading. We believe the Word of God is alive and able to impact everyone who reads the information within.
Care Coaching is for those who need someone to walk through the struggles of day-to-day life with them.
Our coaching staff are all certified Mental Health Coaches through the American Association of Christian Counselors. Our Founder, Tracy Farnell, has a degree in Religion: Christian Counseling and Psychology, and is also a Certified Mental Health Coach with specializations in Crisis and Trauma response as well as Addiction care. We believe that God never meant for life to be handled alone. The simple fact that He created humans shows the importance of relationships.
Through our coaching program, we want to help those struggling with the issues that plague life today. While we are all Christian coaches we will never in any way push our values onto our clients. We welcome people from all walks of life, religions, and economic status.
Rooted consists of small groups and support groups that comprise different age ranges and subject matters. Each small group available is centered around supporting one another, as well as ourselves. We want to create an environment that offers comfort, relief, and strength through Christ and the community that He has graciously given us. Though we take a faith-based approach, our goal is to be a helpful source for those who are facing different conflicts regardless of one’s beliefs and religious background.
Rooted is grounded in John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me."
We firmly believe the knowledge of God's Word is our lifeline to knowing the saving revelation of Christ through the Holy Spirit.
We believe in coming together as a unified body of believers whether that is online or in person we believe God is able to minister and reveal His character to us through the pursuit of reading His Word.
Rooted currently has active small groups for women through an online platform and will be adding a Teen small group along with other support groups in the upcoming year.
Feed the Flock is the newest initiative in our ministry that presents an opportunity to serve and give back to the community. We provide a freshly made meal to the students of City Hope College every Thursday during their lunch break. We felt God impressed us to serve in this way knowing that there were several kids who moved from across the country and even internationally that may not regularly have an opportunity to have a "home-cooked" meal.
We would love to expand this sentiment to others in our community who are in need. If you know of any other groups of people who would benefit from this type of service, please let us know.
Also, if you would like to donate to this cause you can do so here on our website by clicking "donate here" at the top of this page. If you'd like to contribute by cooking a meal please contact us through the message feature, we would LOVE your help!
