SEW LOVED INITIATIVE

In early 2023 I was praying for direction for a ministry I believe God laid on my heart. When I started sewing, which I didn't even know I could do, I started praying about how this could be incorporated into that ministry. I immediately thought of the Dream Center in Honduras. I know the work they do there is incredibly beneficial to the community, especially the children of San Pedro, Honduras. I then reached out to the center Director and asked if they needed dresses. They said they would love to receive some fun, pretty little dresses for the children there and sew it began!

The impact they are making in Honduras is immeasurable and the love of God is being shared tangibly through their efforts. We are proud to partner with them and be a small part of what they are doing in the lives of the children living there.

I knew this sewing project could be bigger than just what I was thinking so I began seeking God about how He wanted to grow this project and that is when our Sew Loved Initiative was born. My husband and I talked things over and decided that I should try selling some items and for each item sold I would give a like item to the Dream Center in Honduras. I am happy to say that it was just the beginning! In our first year of operation, we sent 73 dresses and boy shorts to the Dream Center, and our efforts now not only reach Honduras but we are sending out to other international organizations in need. While our work started internationally blessing other children we now work with local partners to bring our handmade fine clothing and accessories to families in the US as well.
